AVOs
An AVO is not a criminal charge, but it can shape your life for years: contact with children, work, visas and residency.

We advise and represent defendants in Apprehended Domestic Violence Orders and Apprehended Personal Violence Orders, and we assist people listed as the person in need of protection.
Breaching an AVO is a criminal offence, carrying up to two years in prison and a $5,500 fine. Courts treat breaches seriously, so get proper advice before you consent to any order.
We make sure only appropriate orders are made, or we defend the application for you.
